I'm still looking around and may use the Sociable plugin but what I
really want is what you're talking about the big buttons you see on
the big name sites. I guess I could get the images from the sites I
want and make a button but I'll wait a little while to see if the
SocialMarker thing bombs completely or not.

Yes you can use any image for the AddThis button, which is very cool. So you could design your own.

I wanted one like the one on MichelFortin.com til I found out it was custom made. Not happy about stealing it! And I didn't have time to design one.

The SocialMarket button allows visitors to click on the button and
submit the page to dozens of sites using SocialMarker. I used to use
ShareThis without success so I thought I'd try a clearinghouse type
button. The biggest problem I find with the SocialMarker thing is
people have to sign up with them first. It's a great service for
submitting pages in one place but if people don't belong(like
yourself)when they click I think they're more likely to just hit the
back button.

I like the AddThis button functionality. Is it possible to make the
button larger on your site?

I wanted to bookmark your site, but I think the Social bookmark button you have is meant for just you to use on your toolbar, not for your visitors (unless you know something I don't!). It does look like a good tool though.

If it's a social button you want for your visitors, I'd recommend AddThis.com which I have on my fledgling site http://www.All-The-Very-Best.com
