Sometimes we need more than a nudge for us to remember to take stock
of what's important to us and to let them know.

I don't know the exact situation but please don't torture yourself
about how much your son knew you loved him. The fact that you're
worried about him knowing tells me that he was probably more aware of
it than you realized.

sorry for your loss. i wish some one would have cared enough to say this to me befor the passing of my son. its been 10 years and i still dont know if he knew i truly loved him i still ? if i loved him enough. now i tell my other kids and my other half all the time words hugs even when iam upset/disapointed i tell them i still love them no matter what
and i know they love me and for me i am blessed that if tomarrow dosent come my children and other half will know they loved me enough this dosent stop me from countinuing to give my love freely. may your niece be free of what ever pain she sufferd this life as well as you in yours trusting and know you loved her enough that you are loved enough. NO DEAF EARS HERE THANK YOU FOR THE REMINDER TO LOVE THOSES AROUND US FREELY.

I hope this post doesn't fall on deaf ears. For humans, it's very
hard for us to face the fact that we're only here for a limited time
on this planet. So taking any action that acknowledges this fact is
uncomfortable for us.

I'm very sorry for your loss.. I know all to well what's it's like to lose loved ones with both my parents passing away before I was 14.

We should never take a day or even an hour for granted and do as you said, always show the love….
